BEFORE YOUR VISIT
How do you clean an AC filter, and when should it be replaced?
Before cleaning a filter, check your AC manual to see whether it is washable. Dust filters and specialist air-cleaning filters may need different care. The right method depends on the model and filter type.

Switch the unit off first
Follow the manual’s instructions for isolating power. Do not force the cover if you are unsure how it opens or cannot reach it safely. This guide concerns filters the manual allows the user to remove.
Remove dust; wash only if permitted
Daikin’s user guidance describes vacuuming dust or using lukewarm water for suitable filters. Do not apply this to every filter: follow your model’s instructions for water and cleaning products. Do not spray the unit body or electrical parts.
Let it dry
Let a washable filter dry completely as instructed before refitting it. Daikin’s example recommends drying in the shade. Do not run the unit before refitting the filter; if it does not fit, recheck the instructions instead of forcing it.
Cleaning or replacement?
Follow the manufacturer’s replacement instructions for non-washable or expired filters. Ask a technician about a torn, distorted or poorly fitting filter. The model is needed to identify a compatible part; a new filter is not automatically required at every service.
If airflow remains weak
A clean filter does not show whether every internal part is clean. If airflow stays weak or a smell persists, arrange an inspection rather than dismantling the indoor unit. We can discuss filter cleaning, replacement when needed and indoor/outdoor unit maintenance when you book with Tekeli Soğutma.
