BEFORE YOUR VISIT
How to plan AC removal and reinstallation when moving
Moving an AC involves removal at the old address and planning a suitable location and connections at the new one. Share conditions at both addresses before moving day. The unit’s suitability for the new room also needs assessment.

Prepare access details for both addresses
Share the floor, outdoor-unit location and safe access arrangements at both addresses. Provide a photo of a restricted or high location without climbing to take it. Discuss whether both visits can be scheduled together; do not assume a fixed duration before assessment.
The new room may need a different capacity
Equal floor area does not mean equal sun exposure or insulation. Assess capacity and indoor placement before reinstalling. Fitting the outdoor unit into a space is not enough; airflow clearances, drainage and service access also matter.
Leave the refrigerant connections to a technician
Refrigerant and electrical connections require professional handling. Do not cut pipes, operate service valves or release refrigerant yourself. Existing pipes and connections need assessment before reuse; do not assume every part will be reusable.
What should the quotation cover?
Ask whether removal, transport and reinstallation are included. Clarify any new piping, brackets, wall penetrations or electrical work. Agree who handles transport. At completion, review the operational and drainage checks with the installer.
