BEFORE YOUR VISIT
Should you repair or replace your AC?
Do not decide to replace a faulty AC based on age alone. First establish the fault and proposed repair. Include installation and removal when comparing that option with a new unit.

Ask for the diagnosis alongside the quotation
Ask which part and work a proposed replacement covers. Availability and estimated lead time may affect your decision. Since several faults can share a symptom, a phone conversation may not establish a final repair price. Ask in advance whether an inspection fee applies.
Review earlier faults
Have faults recurred, and which parts have been replaced? Existing service records can help. Distinguish a repairable one-off problem from recurring trouble. If records are missing, there is no need to invent dates or work you cannot recall.
Compare complete scopes
Comparing a repair with only the new unit’s sticker price leaves out possible costs. Installation, removal, piping and electrical work may need separate assessment. Ask for inclusions in writing and check any stated conditions covering parts or labour.
How should you compare running costs?
Even with a more efficient new unit, monetary savings depend on use and tariff. There is no universal payback period. Reassess the room’s capacity needs rather than automatically copying the old BTU rating. Discuss repair and new-installation options separately with Tekeli Soğutma.
