BEFORE YOUR VISIT
Before restarting an AC that has been unused
You are opening a holiday home or using the AC again after several months. Check the user-accessible filter and airflow paths before starting it. A fault left over from last season should not be assumed to have resolved while unused.

Was there an unresolved fault?
Mention any smell, water leakage or failure during the previous use. Keep an old error-code photo if you have one. If you recall no symptoms, simply say so rather than labelling uninspected parts as sound or faulty.
Check the filter and airflow paths
With the unit off, follow the user-maintenance instructions. Not every filter is washable; refit a washable one only when fully dry. Check indoor and outdoor airflow paths from a safe position. Keep hands out of the outdoor unit and do not climb onto it to clean.
Observe the first run
Select the appropriate seasonal mode and observe the response. Note unusual sounds, smells, water or codes. Stop if there is a burning smell, smoke or repeated breaker tripping. Checking before guests arrive leaves time to arrange a visit if needed.
Preparing a holiday-home maintenance visit
Share the property address in Fethiye, number of units and access times. Describe problems for each unit separately. A long period without use does not by itself establish a need for refrigerant. Clarify the maintenance scope and any separately assessed work when booking.
