What is multi-split AC? Choosing a system for several rooms
A multi-split system connects several indoor units to one outdoor unit. It can be an option when outdoor space is limited. Simultaneous room use and pipe routes are early questions to discuss.

How it differs from a single split
A single split pairs one indoor unit with one outdoor unit. A multi-split shares the outdoor unit, with supported indoor combinations depending on the model. Do not assume an arbitrary extra indoor unit can be added to an existing AC. Check the manufacturer’s compatibility list.
How will rooms be used simultaneously?
Mention whether the living room is used by day and bedrooms at night. Running every room together affects the assessment. Evaluate the manufacturer’s combination data rather than deciding solely by adding up indoor-unit ratings.
Can one room heat while another cools?
Many residential multi-splits share an operating mode and may not support opposing modes simultaneously. Independent room temperature settings do not necessarily mean simultaneous heating and cooling. If you need this, confirm that the specific system supports it before buying.
Plan installation and service access
One outdoor unit still requires piping and drainage planning for each indoor unit, along with service access. A problem with the shared outdoor unit may affect several rooms. For an assessment in Fethiye, prepare a room sketch, floor details and a photo of the proposed outdoor space.
