BEFORE YOUR VISIT
What should you do if your AC is icing up?
Ice on the indoor unit or pipes during cooling calls for stopping cooling. Do not try to chip it off. Note where it appeared and whether the airflow had weakened beforehand.

Melting ice does not resolve the cause
Ice may melt after shutdown while the underlying problem remains. Recurring ice needs inspection. Airflow and refrigerant-circuit problems can produce similar appearances, so a photo alone cannot establish that refrigerant is low.
What can you safely do at home?
With the unit stopped, perform only the user-accessible filter check described in the manual. Do not use hot water, a hair dryer or a sharp object to remove ice. Leave technical covers in place. Keep meltwater away from electrical belongings and avoid touching wet connections.
Winter frost outside is a different situation
Frost on the outdoor unit during heating and its defrost cycle need a separate assessment. This guide focuses on icing during cooling. If ice builds up during heating or heating does not resume, check the defrost instructions and contact a technician.
What should you tell the technician?
Describe whether ice was on the indoor unit or an outside pipe. Include the operating mode, approximate running time and last filter cleaning. Share a safely taken photo if available. Tell Tekeli Soğutma your neighbourhood in Fethiye and how the outdoor unit can be accessed.
